From the Publisher... Yes. Many of you will be angry (the dinosaurs and birds and I may have to enter the Witness Protection Program.) Over these last 13 years, The Morning Fax has become a small but vital part of your morning ritual. Some of you have delighted in the fact that it remained a "secret" publication (with an unlisted phone number), known only to those of you in the 400+ subscribing offices. Most of you have used The Fax not only to save money but to help figure out where to meet a friend for lunch. In the office, you have pooled your money and shared a pizza together. Some of you have sacrificed a parking spot to go pick up lunch for your office mates. You’ve discovered new and interesting and favorite restaurants. You’ve become chatty with the delivery drivers. And even on days when you didn’t eat lunch, you may have spoonfed to others the small bits of wisdom contained in the quotations of the day. In short, over the years, The Morning Fax has helped knit together relationships and friendships throughout our small university community. And in the end, our connections with others is all that’s really important, right? So how will you survive once the dinosaurs have become extinct and the birds have migrated to parts unknown? You will, of course. Life will (somehow) manage to go on. But for now, the dinosaurs are restless and the birds are eager for flight. For us, there are many other dreams to explore. And we encourage you to do the same: Live out your dreams!
